Good system with a few flaws

It’s a really great system and we were able to get a really good deal! It’s very user friendly and I love how easy it is and o change certain things right there on the devices, easily. However the reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because we chose toast because we thought it would always be easy to get ahold of someone to resolve any questions or issues we had but it hasn’t been the case all of the time. Its seems hard to reach the people they’ve given us to reach out to at times and those people are 2 hours ahead of us and whenever we need something they’re always out of the office for the day. So then we reach out to customer service online and they don’t seem to understand our questions fully. So then we try to toast central hub and then have to read through or watch videos to find out issue when we don’t have the time to do so. Restaurants are busy and we don’t always have the time to read through material for an issue when we need it resolved asap. Also the to-go/dine in option isn’t as user friendly as I’d hoped. If we have customers dining in with us and they have an order currently on the KDS screen and then they tell their server to put a Togo order in for them as well, then it prompts the server to get a manager to do so because it’s trying to change the whole order to Togo. And when I called about this issue they said that we either need to make two separate tickets for that customer, which is I convinced for both us and the customer or just let the kitchen know. Neither of those options is great. However the staff we have worked with is friendly and accommodating and they’re quick to help you once you can reach them. The system is awesome and we are enjoying it other than those two issues! Thanks!

Two Weeks Live

We are approximately two weeks in, after going live. The system is wonderful; it is very versatile and easily modified to fit an individual businesses' needs. The reason I gave it 4 stars, instead of 5, is that I feel there should be more hands-on support after going live. Either an additional day or two from the "go-live" day, or having the technician come back a week or two later for a day would be extremely helpful. I will say that our technician, who is a contractor and not employed by Toast directly, was VERY helpful and knowledgeable about the system. He left his direct contact information and has answered my calls and questions on multiple occasions since he left us. Overall, I am very happy that we made the switch.

I would say Toast is 5 stars worthy but…

I would say Toast is 5 stars worthy but unfortunately the system went offline for an hour or so on Mother's Day causing us a little panic while we were already crazy busy. Other than that I would say there are no issues.

Very helpful today

Onboard person literally spent 5 min…

Onboard person literally spent 5 min and did not do anything regarding my menu. Spoke to 4 people and still no coarse line. Especially since I have toast for two restaurants I never get a callback and get passed around. Horrendous service! Never again.
