Horrible. The worse. I have had issues with everything from dedicated SSL certificates disappearing to the shopping cart not accepting payments. and its NEVER their fault. They will give you all kinds of reasons why something is not functioning properly, and usually the reasons are wrong. They will blame your domain name provider, PayPal etc, and you will wait weeks for things to be resloved. Stay away from them as far as you can, and save yourself the headache.
What a joke. I can't even get through the sign up process to build my site. One time I got through and their so called builder is so crappy, clunky, and slow it won't do anything. They need some serious work. Moving on.
Stay away from Shift4Shop.com! I have spent several months trying to finish my online store to no avail. It takes forever to log in and if you're lucky enough to get through to their server, it's impossible to make any changes to your products, categories, descriptions, web pages, or photos. There is not one part of Shift4Shop that works, except when they want your money. Oddly, they're able to charge your credit card for monthly service without any problems. They charge you for ongoing monthly service that you never receive. Please read Robert's review, my complaints are identical to his. Once you submit a technical support ticket there's a good chance they'll just ignore it like they did mine. Go elsewhere!
It takes several minutes to recognize my login to the administrative end of my site and at least several minutes to go from section to section of the the administrative menu. I was a long-time satisfied customer of 3dcart and have noticed a complete degradation in the ability of the site to function ever since the takeover by shift4 took place. It is now almost impossible to get anything done such as filling a phone order, adding a new product, updating my inventory, or any other routine task that must be performed on my site. Their constant "updates" are a joke and each one seems to make things worse than before. They have been promising now for more than three months to move my site to another server which they say may improve things. Frankly, I doubt it and also can not get an explanation on why it is taking so long to accomplish this "move". They are ruining my business and I am exploring other sites that I can use to host my website. I am also planning to file a complaint against shift4 with the Better Business Bureau. Robert Janowsky
They care about the monthly payment and not their customers that keep them in business. Constant outages, email issues, and tech support can't be bothered till the entire site crashes. They also never post outages to hide the real downtime. I am switching as they are affecting my business. Don't let them affect yours!
I purchased a six-month plan when it was 3D Cart. Because of personal circumstances, I was unable to use it at all, and did not realize that it was set up to automatically renew until the day the renewal charge showed up on my bank statement. I had not planned to renew, but they did not send me any notice that they were going to charge my account, as most honest and courteous businesses do. I contacted the company on the day the money was taken out and requested a refund. I got the following reply from them: All the accounts are set up on recurring billing and we do not send out notifications prior to billing. I’m had read reviews from other websites that shift4shop was good, so I took a risk. Shift4shop’s website builder is really complicated. At least for me. After I realized this, I tried to shut down my website and use a different website building platform. A couple days later I got an email from shift4shop. Before I closed my store and deleted my account, I asked if my info would be deleted. They said of course!!! Well, I’ve been getting email for the past month from shift4shop after deleting my account. Don’t use.
