i have been with poloniex from day 1, unfortunately this is not the same company it once was. it reeks with fraud and manipulation, the devs are completely out of their depth, the mods in the troll box smuther the exchange with their egos and bleed their own negativity all over poloniex clients, rather bazzar behaviour to be accepted by a company that relies on their clients. at the end of the day i choose to trade at poloniex to try contribute to what was once a great exchange but on a daily basis i have watched the stars dissapear 1 by 1 and if there was less than one star then polo would easier adchieve that goal.its with a heavy heart i will withdraw my apis in a controlled manor and direct them to an exchange that appreciates the custom. seriously consider your options before getting involved with this very under prepared company, your funds are not safe here and you will experience completely unnessacary negativity which is the opposite of what a client needs from an exchange.

I've been trading on polo for six years. Crypto exchanges are by their very nature, regularly unreliable and often crash under load when you need to sell a spike up in price. So over the years I've grown used to the website going down when doge spikes ridiculously high or when etc vs eth played out and had postions ruined because their software can't cope. I'm used to that. However, recently it became quite obvious that they have been selling tokens which they don't own. That's why the xmr wallet is frozen during the monerun. This is fraud and so I've taken my stack elsewhere. I've given you a two star review to highlight the amazing work of the mods in the trollbox. I'll miss those guys n gals.

Worst exchange I have ever used, blatant scam!

Tried to transfer some coin away from them, and despite successfully logging in, successfully using my 2FA code device, successfully responding to the transfger approval security email, they put my transfer under a security approval email because it came from a different ip address than I normally use?!
I've only used them once, to buy the original coin, of course I have a different IP address, 99.9% of ISP in the world issue dynamic IP addresses!

I have no idea how to get my transfer approved, as they simply keep replying to emails saying the security team is reviewing my request,

Stole money from customers in 2019 when their technical incompetency lost them 1800 BTC. They called the theft "socialized losses".

Most victims of the theft have not been reimbursed in 2022 still, 3 years later, even though the exchange is still running and in business.

Customer service is being useless and dodging questions. Poloniex obviously doesn't plan on doing anything.

There are many other exchanges out there. Avoid like the plague.

Worst experience of my life with crypto. Extortionate fees, took 4 days to withdraw crypto. After contacting support, I was sent the same email 5 times giving me no help at all. The online chat service uses copy and paste messages to respond to you, they have no clue how to deal with any issue and pass you off to nobody. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I will only use FTX as a platform from now on.

Totally UNTRUSTWORTHY.  Can't be trusted and a scam.  They bought over Tron Market and rename it as PoloniDEX.  But now they decommission it without even posting any Banners to users and members but just through an obscure Twitter post which we were not aware.  Now they refuse to refund us our digital crypto assets that is locked within our PoloniDEX account with them.

If they could do such scam on PoloniDEX which they managed, they would also do such scam to their main platform Poloniex.

Poloniex CANNOT be trusted.

Trustful site.

3 years a ago I was a user of Poloniex. One day they announced that due to system matters, part of their user's 10% of deposit are losing. 

They should compensate the user by return back their losing coins but  they said "Hey, We will not return it back your losing but will give you a trading fee discount everytime you trade ". The total amount might be beyond 1800btc. That means it became their own money. It is just time when the exchange is bought by a company called Circle. The former Poloniex is excellent!

This exchange will not respond by any means of law cause they know if you are foreigner you have no time and enough money to sue them. Until now, you could see many claim on their twitter comment about this. 

If you do not want your property to be stolen by any form, stay away from this exchange.

Like other users here I had trouble withdrawing my funds, was stuck pending for days, then they locked my account for "security reasons" and I couldn't unlock it due to their system being complete sheet! I forgot my Poloniex account for 4 (and more years). Couple of days ago i decide to check my old mining accounts and found one of my ETH wallets, that i use to cashout to Poloniex. I found some ETH left at that wallet (its POLONIEX wallet) and decided to take it out. When i login my balance was 0 ETH (thats not true, because i checked my ETH wallet). I did some digging and find out that if i press deposit on Poloniex, it stills got the same wallet address for my ETH. I open a ticket with them and still wait for my ETH for around 1577 days 16 hrs ago since i deposited it. Not to mention the Tokens attached to that wallet are not showing as well.  Still waiting for a reply  from there support about what is going on with my ETH for the past 1577 days................... Thats some slow crypto transfer to take so much time for the balance to show on my account.

My replay: What evidence do you have that my email has been compromised? Even so, how would you bypass 2FA? Do you have some tangible information about this case or just guessing/assumptions?  (did not receive any replay)

COSTUMER SUPPORT IS TERRIBLE. 

IT TOOK ME OVER 18 MONTHS TO RECOVER ACCESS TO MY ACCOUNT WHEN I LOST MY 2FA. WHILE ALL OTHER EXCHANGES TOOK LESS THAN 1 WEEK.
 
THE ORDER BOOKS ARE NOT LIQUID AND IT CAN TAKE WEEKS FOR ORDERS TO GET FILLED.

WHEN I TRIED TO WITHDRAW MY FUNDS TWICE THEY BLOCKED MY ACCOUNT BY REMOVING MY ACCOUNT VERIFICATION. THE OTHER TRANSACTION GOT MYSTERIOUSLY SENT BANK BUT SHOWED AS COMPLETED.

IT WAS GOOD IN 2017. IT WAS THE WORST EXCHANGE RIGHT NOW.

Хоть я и достаточно давно работаю с англоязычными площадками, и в моем конкретном случае не страдаю от этого, все равно не все соотечественники смогут нормально работать с английским языком и упустят адекватную площадку. Также биржа поддерживает недостаточно высокие лимиты на вывод. Здесь проблема уже бьет по другим трейдерам – опытным, у которых хорошие объемы

I had a pretty good experience in 2017-2019. Since 2019 something changed as I could see longer delays for withdrawals, I lost some funds while lending and it took Poloniex about 1 year to return the funds lost. (At least they did return that)

I worked with Poloniex for years. there were problems but not as big as recently. I sent mined Ethereum Classic to the Poloniex and they keep more then 31 ETC since February. They keep sending me messages saying that they did not receive coins and asking me to be patient and that they are working for solution.

It's been another year, and Poloniex DID NOTHING to reimburse their users who lost 1800 BTC total in 2019 hack. I am still at a loss, and support says they have no plans to give money back. What a shambles.

After having lost my mobile, in feb (4 month ago) I started the procedure to deactivate and reactivate the 2FA, well.. it took almost 3 month, and you know what? After having finally managed to login back into my profile, the verification was still pending and of course the balance of my wallet was 0 because yeah, they've been hacked and I was in the list of fortunate "winners".
I've never dealt with such an incompetent customer service, I've sent maybe 30 emails without getting proper replies. 
Well done poloniex! you've lost one customer... and I really hope that I won't be the only one..

During the recent Crypto market crash April 19th 2021, Poloni dex disabled selling, swapping and withdrawing Crypto from Polonidex wallet exchange.This is a nightmare. All you can do is watch your money disappear. As of now they are holding my Cryptocurrency hostage while it loses value. They waited until the market crash to do this. To add on to this review from hours ago now I don't even see my Crypto funds. They ignored my emails.

So for a few years all was fine, I'll give them that. However, I intercepted an attempt by a bad actor to access my account. I followed all the instructions, opened new account , went through a rigorous I.D . process sent 
 photo of me holding up a sign asking them to transfer my funds to my new account as instructed. I was told at the end of this process it would take 2 -4 weeks to process and transfer my funds to new account . It is now almost 6 weeks on and nothing . Ignoring my emails . About 6K out of pocket and being ignored. After reading reviews here I think its time to shut these guys down. Rating wise I Would give five red flags if I had the option but looks like I have to offer up a star to submit the review.
Of course if Poloniex does the right thing, and restores my assets I will commend them for itand edit this review to reflect that.
Until then I will steer people away from this platform.

ce témoignage est véridique, inscrit sur Poloniex depuis 2017, pendant toutes ces années je n'ai rencontré aucun problème dans les trades, les frais des transactions sont affichés au grand publique et sont claires, une plateforme qui a une allure un peu professionnelle mais complète dès qu'on s'y habitue à l'utiliser.
jusqu'à aujourd'hui j n'ai eu aucun problème de retrait malgré les rumeurs qui courent ( retrait en BTC ou en ETH ), le service support me semble correcte.

Poloniex froze my account with more thousands of $. They asked me to verify my account, what I allredy do somewhere in 2019. Now they let me to log in, to check balance, and I got verified my account, but the account is frozen for trading and withdrawing.  I contacted 
 support, sent again my id, name, etc, but nothing, the account is still frozen. They askes me about account ownership,  just I don't know why, because I was the owner from the begining, and stil I'm the owner. Also ask them two times to enable it, just to withdraw my funds and to close the account, but now more than a week no feedback from them. Verry,verry bad experience with this exhange. Two year ago I lost money because of this, and now again! Verry unprofessional!

Poloniex finally released my funds after 1 1/2 weeks of waiting. Changing from 1 star to 3 stars. Not good enough!

Poloniex froze my account without reason and asked me to re-verify using their app. I have been waiting well over one week now with no reply.

Before the freeze, I managed to withdraw half my funds.  I still have thousands locked with them.

I originally verified with them many years ago. I have traded many, many times on their platform. No problems with them taking fees!

Poloniex has scammed me! My computer got hacked and I asked them to transfer my coins from my old to my new account. They said it would take 2 weeks, but they just kept all op my coins! They never responded to all of my emails either. Please don’t fall for this horrible platform. There are much better platforms out there. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

Kindly do not use this Exchange for trade, they are not supporting for any kind of human mistake, i sent some xvg to doge address, but they did not support. But if they want they can. I lost my 31000.00XVG around. I never get good support for right effort on this to get back those coins from doge network. Warning! Poloniex is a scam exchange. They delist mainstream assets such as DGB and illigally confiscate people's balances. This happened to me, I was a top tier user and have since removed all my assets from this exchange. I've spoken to a few other victims who are uniting. Poloniex used to be a decent and sizable exchange but is now run by a scam gang. Be warned.

You should avoid this exchange at all costs. The fees are roughly 10% on a deposit and withdrawal (so 20% fees). Once on the exchange you are basically stuck there. The slippage is a big issue too.

Delisted Tokens von Top Projekten wie unter anderem DigiByte. Wer nicht innerhalb von 30 Tagen seine Coin entfernt hatte sieht nun seine Coin dort liegen - die gehören einem aber nicht mehr - keine Chance darauf zuzugreifen. Withdraw entfernt - automatische Ausrede = die müssten dafür ja die Blockchain synchronisieren. Für Investoren ein Millionenbetrag - wahrscheinlich haben die sich selbst damit bereichert!

Unfortunately, there is not a way to transfer a delisted asset out of your Poloniex account at this time. When a currency gets delisted, the Poloniex node is no longer synced to the currency's network which makes withdrawals impossible.

Please keep in mind that we announce all delistings and timelines for removing tokens from our exchange in an email sent to every customer who held a balance in said token. We also posted on Twitter, in our Help Center, and the Notices section.

Once the timeline passed, deposits and withdrawals were disabled for this asset. Your balance is now archived and no longer available for withdrawal.

Our terms state that we have the ability to delist assets at any time, but if we ever decide to re-list a previously delisted coin, we will be sure to contact all customers with an old balance.

New interface is as bad as the old one was good. It's the first time i see a company changing something that works perfectly for something that is absolutely unusable.
