My preferred alternative to the crypto/tulips craze.
Easy to set up (a little bit of a wait for the card but worth the wait). Easy to top up. Easy to transfer from gold to cash and back again. Reasonable fees (imo). Customer service answered questions and was easy to deal with. I do wish there was the ability to make joint accounts, hopefully in the future. It's a great idea and I will have my Glint card wherever I go. Thank you!
Glint locked account, no access to own funds, stay alert of this company
On Wednesday 18.05.2022 suddenly my account got suspended, at the same time got email asking from proof of ID and address. Sent out everything almost immediately. Also called them to support line and got told by lady that we will check information within 1 working day. Yesterday 19.05.2022 got email from them saying that they are checking information and will get back to me ASAP. So as of today 20.05.2022 account still remains locked with no access to your own funds. Conclusion: Looks like this is another doggy company like Revolut when they can lock out your money and drag it forever causing people stress and putting them in to difficulities. As you can see customer service is also very poor when they telling you one thing and in reality it's different. So people be aware, your money is not safe with this company, any moment you can end up with situation like this. UPDATE: They have made a decision to close my account!

Works exactly like a pre-paid debit…
Works exactly like a pre-paid debit card, except your balance fluctuates with the price of gold. In my case, I loaded my card several years ago when the price of gold was substantially less than it is today, and have only used it a couple of times when the price of gold was $2000+, my balance is nearly 40% more than my original investment, and will more than likely outpace inflation going forward.
