Very easy to load. I have had this card for a number of years now. Easy to use when abroad and can check balance easily. Would definitely recommend this card to anyone

Caxton operative Hannah helped reactivate my account and update personal contact details and then talked me through the process of loading my card with chosen currency. She took all the stress out of the process for me, was clear, concise and fantastically bright and sunny in her disposition. Thank you
Easy to use peace of mind
Great to have currency on one card
Hard to get balance returned and high fees
It's very hard and frustrating to get the balance of your money returned - Caxton will send you all around the houses first. I calculated a 2.5% FX rate spread on every currency movement you do with them. That is, if you fund with GBP, buy EUR and then convert any remaining balance back to GBP at the end of your holiday - you'll be paying 5% total. And that's on top of the misc £1.50 charges and the £2 per month account fee. You might just as well use a standard bank card and/or an FX cash exchange place.
It's easy once you know how.
I found the process really easy once I had spoken to a real person, Mary who sent me some simple instructions by email. Only four stars because the online experience was complicated to me.
